And that was on the 3rd visit to a permission that was absolutely jumping with them

I was a 16yr old knocking over squirrels with a .22 BSA Mercury Challenger (I'd give my left testicle to have that rifle back)........ roll on 20yrs - I was a 36yr old with a PCP on a very steep learning curve and no one to show me the way.

 

I'd put a lot of time in on targets but, without the benefit of someone else's experience, I now think I was over cautious back then.

 

........ I'm so pleased that I came back to it though - you can't beat a good hunt and some fresh grub
