I was trying to warn him of the dangers of posting illegal photos on here. Same as I do with everyone. Here is what I told him.

"I am fed up of telling people, do you want to end up like Dymented and have your dog back from the RSPCA in a bag? You can do what you like I don't give a shit, but when you post it on here you might as well print your name and address. If Ian has a request from any official body he has to provide your ISP number. Then your provider has to give them your name and address."

Does that sound like a threat?

Why would the police contact a forum moderator for someone's address? Surely they would be straight onto the site owner.

And what legal documents do mods sign upon taking the position that says they have to hand over people's details when questioned?

All sounds a bit fishy to me.

I think to point the finger at a man on here for doing that is just as bad as saying you got knocked out for free bino's

We all know what the rspca is and none would wish them on anybody or so I would like to think..

For god's sake he had a pic of his "retrieved hare" (not a gun in sight) taken down earlier. Then he put it back up, then he received a pm not to keep doing it or he would get a warning, then came on here all boo-boo lip lying about what was said.

If anyone thinks that a moderator would threaten anyone with the rspca, you're mental.

Hardly a threat...just stating the facts of the possible consequences...TC's a good guy!

But why look past a photo. Y not take his word for it. I can see both sides to the coin in some way. Soppose text can come across in different ways depending on what mode your in or how you want to understand it.
