Hope it works out for you Nelly :)

...... Mac needs someone to drag him into the 21st century

Lamps ffs :rolleyes::laugh:

HAHAHA unless I start bagging some wabbits Jon I'm not selling anything well? However Jimmy did say he regretted getting rid of his and is thinking of snother????
You'll do well with some sneaky NV mate

Trust me, Mac's got some skill to work with a torch - I'm fecked if I could do it

.... Have a chat with David, he's been on my best rabbit permission - I'd be well and truly bollocksed without NV

My wife (Julia) has just got me a nice bit IR for Crimbo as well ❤❤

have you re-set the zero on the n/v to centre... then adjust the mount and not the n\v

That's what I did Si. Reset the scope to zero and then started to adjust the mount to bring it as close to centre as I could. I was struggling to see the fall of shot or anything. It doesn't help that I was trying to get it done quickly because I was at the end of a footpath near the house not at a range so I didn't want people seeing?

The photons i have looked through are awful . Mate has one and he has put another lens on and still not that good , he is not that happy with it either . Trouble is we both started with Pulsar N550,which at the time probably the best NV unit

You are right if it works for you ,then great

awful's a bit strong... they may not be as good as a £1500 pulsar but thats why they cost a fraction of the price!

just got back from another rat bashing session, it safe to say me and my mate have put about 300 to sleep in the last fortnight with them and no rangefinder

if you've not got spare bag o sand they do the job nicely and thats without a t20 strapped to it!

I say it as i see it and that's my opinion . Like i said ,if it works for you then great

Before buying my first Pulsar N550 ,both of us looked and tried other NV units then tried N550 just in a different league and yes a different price as well ,

N550 paid for it's self in the 3 years i had it with rabbits taken and the price i sold it for .

The new pulsar N870 lrf is proving to be the best yet with rabbit's taken ,my mate has just got a decent second hand pulsar N970 lrf only 2 weeks old for £1200 , he tried a new Ward -D 800 ,which is probably the best add on NV unit and had the photon for a night ,but found them not that great

We dont all drive Bentley,s and super cars Mitch im struggling to get £500 together to buy jj,s daystate

and it will probs leave me skint over Xmas .but thats the reality of the situation as is with most of us

so most of us have to settle with the cheaper option £1500 + is a hell of a lot of money to most of us and we would have to work our bollocks off to get it and if we did get it we would spend it on some thing else thats a bit more important than an expensive bit of nv like cloths for our kids or filling the freezer or bills .

So some times a cheap nv is the only option we have ,

SI sold us the tx200 for little hunter and he let me pay for it in three payments or we could not have bought it for him

thats the generosity of the guys on this forum some have hearts of gold and si is one of them David Evans is another even your self have help,d lads out and for that the respect rolls in im happy that you have a good nv and it works for you but alas i dont think most of us will get the chance to even hold one let alone use one or own one .

I have used one but did not like it at all ,and for me it would not be my £1500+

Viz had one and sold it not long after getting it as it was his nv ill let him tell you what he thought of it .

BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY WE ARE LAMP LADS AND WE ARE FECKING GOOD AT IT

REAL GOOD AS MOST OF THE LADS WE HAVE HAD OUT ON THE HUNT WILL TELL YOU

Like I said I'm more than happy with the quality of the sight picture and reticule. I also think the zeroing system is good, it's just the issues of mounting the bloody thing!

I looked at the ATN's and the N550, I don't need the range finder, geo-tagging or the ability to link my phone. I only shoot airgun so not further than 50 yards in reality, if I want to see further I'll just attach a bigger IR torch. The other factor I looked at was how long the bty lasts for, the models your talking about eat bty's and they suggest buying a further power pack which is more weight and expense.

I had the option of buying a second hand ATN X Sight and a N550 for £400 but turned them down
