Mounting The Yukon Photon Xt

I bought the XT yesterday and a set of high 30mm Hawke mounts, which only just clear the barrel, as suggested in the destructions!

I shot 3 pellets all with the same poa, then as instructed went into zero mode and went through the one shot zeroing process as instructed. The problem I've had is the reticle cannot go low enough to reach the fall of shot?

I'm sure it's the mounts and not Me or the gun/sight, any suggestions it's mounted on an R10

me and my mate both had the same problem nelly

i got round it by shimming the rear cup with a beer can shim, it might help to push your zero out a bit further too!

good luck.... and if that don't work you can buy adjustable mounts

Cheers Si, as I've got the DIY skills of a blind man with no thumbs I will probably buy an adjustable mount?

I got the Hawke ones free so I've lost nothing, can you suggest any adjustable ones/cost at all Si?

Had loads of bova with 1 myself and had to shim the rear mount, you would think yukon would have spotted this flaw and done something about it by now as it seems everyone having the same trouble

I've bought the one that DJ suggested from Uttings, supposed to be here on Tuesday. I'll let you know how I get on with it, Yukon really need to sort something out though I think?

Barrel droop is a pain in the arse. you know its not gonna effect accuracy, and yet, its almost like a default, or negative.
