poachers apprentice 136
Is fixing flats to gypsy tabs a good method or would I be better whipping straight onto the fork ?
Greyman 28,826
Is fixing flats to gypsy tabs a good method or would I be better whipping straight onto the fork ?alright mate, if you have the tabs and like them, the easiest way I have found was to put a small piece of rubber pipe on the tab and whip to it, but usually I either button the top of the fork or put a small slit down the fork with an hacksaw, I will stick some pics up, the starship is whipped to a bit of petrol pipe, works well, and the natty,s are buttoned or slit, the hacksaw slit makes for the fastest band changes with know tying, cheers
poachers apprentice 136
I'm probably being really stupid but what's holding the bands where you've put the slit in the fork ? ?
barrywhite 282
I attach mine to the forks .shooting over the top .the bands always wear at the pouch first . I see no piont in tabs . you will also loose a little power with taps because you have a shorter draw .
Greyman 28,826
I'm probably being really stupid but what's holding the bands where you've put the slit in the fork ? the band goes round a small pin, I use a bit of tube,or a matchstick, you just double the last bit, around the pin, stretch the elastic and pull it down into the slit, takes a few seconds if you want a close up piccy let me know and I will stick one up
