WILF 46,786
Spot on Gnasher. As for players like Rojo and tackles like that......ask Roy Kean how you sort out people like that
Welsh_red 4,644
Paulo maldini averaged 0.56 tackles a game he was so good. He Said if I have to make a tackle I have already made a mistake
bracken boy 584
It's the future I'm interested in and if our manager is saying shite then as a fan then I will use my mouth to say my thing, most man utd fans do know it will take time but defending roho like he did is so wrong when all we want from our defenders is to DEFEND and in my view rohos tackle was not defending. WILF 46,786
This thread highlights perfectly a thread the other day, when tackles are finally done away with the fans will have no one to blame but themselves !! All carrying on like old women......"ohh that's terrible blah blah blah" Some of you lads have played CB, you know how it works......you take your hits and you give them back. If there is one paticular dirty b*****d you wait for your chance and you put him in casualty ! ........that's how big boys go to work on a football pitch. bracken boy 584
Spot on gnasher, it's why utd have fallen , we can't play teams on the counter as we have no pace, blind, mata, Rooney , ibrahimovich , carrick, and ones who have pace are out of form. But hey one day might find that magic again

Been impressed with Phil Jones the last few weeks and all, nice to see him have a few games in the same position. I reckon he could be some player if he can stop going into stupid tackles and injuring himself. He's tidy on the ball.

bracken boy 584
Martial might turn good but come on he goes missing and ain't a team player same as Memphis , when martial and rashford are on there game then yep we can play counter football, oh by the way martial and rashford are not wingers. When I say wide players I'm referring to the players either side of a midfield 3 behind a striker or up either side of a striker in a front 3. And I said Mhikitaryan not Rashford! bracken boy 584
Mhikataryn is a no 10 to me, ok my point is utd have too many players out of position and we are just to slow . I'm a utd fan who dosnt think that utd are playing good when in fact we are just above average, given we are better of late especially when our tempo is high and that's only when we are at O.T. Check it out. I don't think any player has a god given right to be played solely in one position these days, the modern game has moved way past that with flexible formations and huge squads. The only specialist positions are CB and CF, and even the CF ain't sacred with the advent of the false 9.. I don't think we're playing particularly well, but there is a lot of work to be done and the whole style of play has to be changed. It ain't going to happen in half a season. jukel123 7,996
He's only done half a season, you ain't going to see us anywhere near challenging at the very top until next season. Give the man a chance ffs.. Biggest problem is the post Fergie hangover, and that ain't ever going to clear until all the players from Fergies squads are gone..Well said mate........to be honest (forget bad tackles for a minute) I have found it truly cringeworthy (and highly amusing) watching all the Man U fans crying like girls.......first Moyes, then Van Gaal and Jose.Fickle footy fans at their finest ! It's pathetic to be honest.......news flash, the Fergie dream days are over !! It's the mundane plod of top level football from here on chaps.......or.......you could always start supporting Barcelona and give everyone else's ears a rest ! Lol The thread is about Mourhino, and Rojo's tackling. Nothing to do with results or fans. The thread is about Jose who just happens to manage your club and it's about his actions relating to football........it's not about if he pushed in the que down the school play is it !! He is your manager and you are slagging him, just like you all slagged the one before that and the one before that.......come to think of it there were a few slagging Fergie too before he f****d off. So, come on, let's have it right. I am aware of the stupidity of two working class men of 'mature' age arguing about the 'superiority' of the team whose postcode they grew up in. However I must take you to task with regard to your hypocrisy and to your sweeping, unsupported assertions about Man U supporters. Pressure from fans did not lose Moyes his job.It was the players who felt he was tactically naive and totally out of his depth. Therefore the board acted. It was a situation that was not going to improve. Van goal had his chance but produced football which was akin to watching paint dry. Again it was the board which acted because of this situation, only a minority of fans and journalists openly expressed their dissatisfaction. That style of football could not continue at Old Trafford. It was not the Man U way. Just as the type of football big Sam engineered at Upton Park was not the West Ham way. For the same reason he was shown the door. Despite being a massive success in terms of gaining promotion and stabilising the club. As for fans criticising Fergie ( alias God) where do you get that 'fact' from? Is that why we erected a statue for him and named a road after him? Man U have had 12 managers since the war.... the same as West Ham actually. Neither club is a firing club and both take pride in that fact. As for fans being fickle If you look at season 74/5 when we were relegated, we still filled Old Trafford every home game and broke records for away support in the old second division. You should look closer to home at 'fickle' fans. Why were 11000 West Hams missing when Chelsea came calling in October? As for Mourhino, I will never take to the man. He might be Man U manager in name, but I will never accept him as a 'real' Man U manager. I wouldn't give him my autograph. WILF 46,786
Fair comments, I won't argue the finer points but I will say there were plenty saying Fergie "has lost it" a couple of seasons before the old boy handed in his cards. I have seen plenty slag the others too but as I say, we could go round in circles all day. No excuses from me about missing fans down our place, it's the modern "footy fan" for you. Moving on, who do you think would be a good fit for your club?
