Chicken_man 1,651
Just keep it, bollocks to it. Just a skull. Where is the harm in that? Enjoy ?
neil cooney 10,416
It's nearly impossible to find a badger skull without it's bottom jaw. The ball and socket jaw hinge keeps them together, probably our only wild mammal like that.

leethedog 3,071
So if I found a road kill badger took photos of the run over carcase I could then remove the head and strip it would having the photos be enough proof that it wasn't killed illegally
BGD 6,437
Honestly I doubt you'd ever run into trouble even with no proof unless you were already being investigated for related offences.
cragman 2,799
I've got one hanging in the shed together with a few fox skulls and brushes. Found mine on some kick out on a big place.
Hydropotesinermis 724
Just incase anyone is worried about the head or simular rare and endangered species, (because badgers are really rare and need all the help they can get )I think if you write to defra and explain the circumstances of your find they will give you a document, I had to do it last year when a sparrow hawk hit my mates window and died, know one would stuff the bird without the letter, but once obtained all was good and the bird was stuffed vigorously and legally This is what I would do.
