philpot 4,998
Just got a little rat perm today, not expecting much as it is a new sugar beet compound so might take a while to get going but Hey Ho, who cares. The farm manager asked if I have insurance, I of course said yes...........................so I had better get some. Now then lads, what insurance companies do you use. Phil Quote Link to post
Rez 4,961
BASC. Never used it, just had to get it for that estate. They send me a magazine 4 times a year and thats all I hear from them. Insurance, a strange thing, never need it until you need it. https://basc.org.uk/join-basc/basc-members-insurance/ Quote Link to post
Durham John 693
CCC Never needed to use it but it covered me for everything I did, shooting fishing my kayaking even my dogs. Dj 1 Quote Link to post

philpot 4,998
Cheers guys. I had thought about joining BASC but in truth I was more interested in getting a straight cover from a company. CCC3 looks decent. Phil Quote Link to post
si brown 8,486
Not sure about the others but this lot have a legal team who will help you out! You get a few magazines a year and a card you can shove in your wallet.. not bad for £5 a month , surprised your not a member cos it's mainly for the shotgun lads! Nice work with the rat perm, it won't take long for the little feckers to move in:) Atb si Quote Link to post
Metalman2 45
BASC Also recognised by landowners, had extra perms because of it Quote Link to post
philpot 4,998
I was always a member of WAGBI before BASC took over and then a member of CPSA as it was only clay shooting for many many years, just not thought about it since I started to shoot live quarry again. If I joined BASC, it would be as a full member to cover shotguns as well but are you all paying up front or monthly. Phil Quote Link to post

ollieollie 766
Basc here as well Quote Link to post
philpot 4,998
Hmmm looks like BASC then. Does their cover offer insurance on the guns themselves, I will phone and ask them tomorrow, just handy to get your feedback. Phil Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,358
I pay by monthly direct debit. I'm pretty sure they don't cover kit - just liability insurance. Quote Link to post
