Shaddy93 840
I agree I hate to hear people say he's this and that 'doubled up' then your dog is no good on that intended quarry of the dog isn't single handed it's not worth breeding from that's in my oppinion mind 1 Quote Link to post

I did a similar breeding a few years back i thought it was a good idea at the time to produce a pup to keep back but Unfortunately It was not to be. The pup i kept back and later re homed as turned out to be a excellent daytime fox hunting bitch ... Quote Link to post

Marvel 469
I think they'll be quite a few in this litter that will be fine made, but that doesn't mean they'll not do the job. 1 Quote Link to post
jiggy 3,209
I asked a man before about doing a similar type breeding to this and he said your wasting your time unless you look for courage in your greyhound bitch first not her track time. The fractions of seconds between greyhounds are so small it probably won't come in to play when the strongdog blood is in there anyway. I Asked 3 different good dog trainers with plenty of top race wins if they ever ran foxes to fire up a track dog. All of them said they had done it when younger and stupid taking the chance of injuring a racer but that very few of the dogs were game. They would run and turn the foxes sometimes doubled up but only the odd one would finish the job. Depends on the quarry the person wants to run I suppose on rabbits it won't matter. Maybe that's why some lads prefer to use coursing greyhounds they will usually have more bottle in them. It's interesting that everyone wants the greyhound blood to dominate the look and speed of the dog but it would be a shame if it brought cowardice along with that by not testing the dam. 1 Quote Link to post
Tallywacker 262
Testing gameness!! There greyhounds ffs..!! There's no such thing as a game greyhound wether it can kill a fox or not! Hence crossing them with bull&terrier types the only carriers of the game gene.. 1 Quote Link to post

Hence crossing them with bull&terrier types the only carriers of the game gene..gamness ,courage , bottle whatever word you choose it to be its better to have it in the greyhound than not because if it doesn't your diluting your blood with 50% piss and wind as fast as it might be. Tallywacker 262
You still ain't getting it.!!! Quote Link to post
Guest Ronny
You've to watch with going that way .you don't end up with second grade greyhounds .spindly things that need a run way to turn.anyway each to there own and the very best of luck. Quote Link to post
jiggy 3,209
You still ain't getting it.!!!that a jacking greyhound is better than one with courage I'd like it on both sides and not just the Bull it would increase litter success rates and less culls. Quote Link to post
