I'd beg to differ with what you say about generation breds getting racier and lighter. It depends on the types/builds you pair up. Breed from the racier types and yes, over time you'll get racier types, keep pairing up the heavier types, and you'll get heavier types. I know it's not as straightforward as that, and you need a long term breeding plan etc, but that's the gist of it. You should know that from your interest in bird breeding, of which you do seem to know your stuff.

 

I see nothing wrong with adding pure greyhound blood, as it will give shady what he wants, especially as these lads don't want out and out fox dogs, but something a little more versatile.
