A mate of mine used one of them a few years back there okay for slipping but what if you want to pull your dog off something you have to remember fit the collar Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
Better still train your dog not to run until it's told, then you do not need a lead. TC Try telling a bull cross or infact anything with anything about it not to run when it's got something in its sight haha There are dog men and then you have those that like to think they are, TC Quote Link to post
Guest Navek
Must admit any good lurcher shouldn't just stand there watching quarry run off if it's not told to chase ... I'd be pretty worried if my lurcher stood there watching a rabbit run cross a field in front of it ..however I think a lurcher that can be called off is Worth it's wait in gold Quote Link to post

Mid course is almost impossible if the dog has any drive at all. Stopping a dog that's close by and on it's own and hasn't got going yet is another matter. 1 Quote Link to post

I don't think that's strictly true personally I'd say that's down to breaking to certain animals, my dogs won't kill sheep but that's down to me breaking them to sheep not down to a command if they happened to one night switch and decide they wanted lamb dinner and set off after a flock of sheep only a gun would stop them Quote Link to post
