dytkos 17,782
Triumph 2000 or Triumph Toledo was it....or were they the same thing i cant remember now. Toledos were only smaller with 1300cc engine Ihad a beauty but wrote it off and went through the windscreen doing so Did thousands of miles in my marina van once Id had the engine rebuilt. My 1978 Allegro estate was ok but I traded it in for a 1960 Land Rover. Had loads of minis, some good, some shit. Nowadays I much prefer what we used to call JapCrap back in the day. Cheers, D.

My dad a dolomite lovely little car.he had it resprayed white with black vinyl roof. Funny enough I think that was the car that broke down going on holiday. And we had to come back and then go in his works van.

tsteve9999 456
The worst motor I've had was a Renault Traffic van. The hinges on the back doors were alloy of some sort and every few months the wind would catch the doors and snap them like paper. The engine was as tempremental as f**k and the final straw was when smoke started billowing around my feet as I drove along one day because the wiring had set on fire. Never had a French motor since. Our Mercedes-Benz Luton work van is just coming up to 300k that Mercedes-Benz c class I put a picture up of petrol had 210k the engine was still sweet it was just the rest of it that died and our old designer/rep had a subaru wrx that ended up with 270k he had it from new
Greyman 27,972
If you had one of those old fords you would be loaded only if it's a two door and made in the avo factory, many of the old standard family stuff ain't,t worth a lot even if it's mint, I was offered a barn find ford classic only a few weeks ago, this was the predecessor to the Capri, when I valued it up I turned it down at 2k as I could get a fully restored minter for less than 3k, I was only going to pass it on and make a few quid but it was,nt even worth the two k the bloke wanted so I would have been stuck with it and out of pocket, so tread carefully before you launch the next episode of wheeler dealers, it's a mine field

I drove one of those from Bristol to London when I was 15, I had to do it once a week for a few months, it had 4 gears and was so noisey a radio was a waste of time, plus it was always hot because the engine was in between the seats, only good thing about it you could cook your bacon on the manifold as you were driving, oh happy days
eastcoast 4,084
My Aston Martin DB 11 was beset with electrical problems when I first took delivery. Believe it or not the heated seats would not function on the highest setting and sod's law this was during the cold spell we had earlier. All sorted now and I must admit that the nice people at Aston have an excellent after sales support team. However once bitten twice shy and I would be reluctant to purchase another. Thinking of going back to a Transit.
