A line up of some oldies on a local car park 1970s

My Aston Martin DB 11 was beset with electrical problems when I first took delivery. Believe it or not the heated seats would not function on the highest setting and sod's law this was during the cold

Renault Laguna. Stay away from anything French IMO!

Renault Laguna estate was the worst , cost 650 to run and buy, thousands on first mot so threw it away lol

Best was an Audi A4 tdi, bought it for 1750 from a lad emigrating , put 85000 onto it over 6 years to nearly 200, 000 and traded it in for 4 g

Never spent a nut on it other than a bit of oil and 1 set of pirrelli tyres in all that time

Bombproof

This is the same as my old 99 turbo

. I have the next model up, 1990 900 aero turbo, one of the last real saabs made in Sweden, it's wrapped up in quilts in my garage, and Will not be sold anytime soon, even by today's standards it is still the best all round motor I have ever driven, massive boot space, built like a tank, fast as feck, comfortable as my armchair at home, handles like a go cart and still gives around 30mpg if you can resist the urge to keep hitting the fun peddle, one of the best engineered motors ever made imho

With Dagenham Fords up the road all our early cars were Escorts/Cortinas/Capris.......i liked the Rs Escorts but couldnt afford one as a teenager so ended up with a crappy 1600 sport which was a micky mouse version of a Rs.... everything went wrong with it but i persisted in throwing money at it until the gearbox fell out coming out the Blackwall Tunnel and i just walked away and left it poxy thing :icon_redface:

I used to have a 99 turbo. Bought it off my boss's wife. Something was wrong with the heated seats though and it used to smell like my trousers were being ironed on the way to work.

lot a guys seemed to have a viva well i had one the viva ha right old thing white with black sills not black paint but underseal, one night i had a decent young lady in the back where theirs not a lot of room but you had no choice as the seats werent recliners, well anyway get to the good bit and get her knickers off by this time ive got the strides down but the couldnt get them right down as she is sitting with her arse on the back seat facing forward so i'm in the footwell and their is no room for a lot of movement but if anything i am persistant so eventually the end bit gets in just but its better than nothing so i'm doing my best when to top it she starts reciting the lords prayer.def put a damper on it

Fiat Uno Turbo.

Had it a day and had to get a new engine..?

Always had something wrong with it.

Only good thing was it was a wee pocket rocket and left many a car standing. Good fun.

It was the 1.4 I had not the 1.3. Great fun in a straight line.
