Guest vin Posted December 7, 2016 Report Share Posted December 7, 2016 dont do what i did last week. turned sideways on and picked up my ferret box from behind back of truck...as I was straightening up the dog decided to jump up into back of truck...hits me full on headbutt on the temple,knocked me flat out in the yard...had an egg on my head for a few days and a seriously nasty headache for 3 days.. I can honestly say no man women or animal has ever hit me as hard in my life ! still hurts now...lol. and no the dog didnt even register it. Quote Link to post

But as time has gone on when in pursuit he has started taking on some big fences clearing all sorts. I would rather he didn't as I can see whats going to happen knowing my dog Quote Link to post

Caravan Monster 323 Posted December 8, 2016 Report Share Posted December 8, 2016 (edited) I kept putting off teaching mine to jump because she is still very immature at 14 months and I wanted to keep that extra bit of control over where she goes. She decided to start jumping fences on her own, selecting a fence topped with plain instead of barbed wire to start on (more intelligent than I give her credit for ) Still not that confident about tricky jumps, but getting there. I think playing on round bales gave her confidence to jump. My mate has one similar age that jumps like zebedee.
