Bells.

Hi all. Could anyone tell if putting a bell on my collar would affect the frequency. I'm going to try one out. Because I nearly lost a Jill last week, she came out of a hole that I would never of seen, if it wasn't for the dog I would never of seen her. Still learning. But I'm getting there

You mean the frequency of the locator? Not at all. Good bells on eBay called Ultra bells, I've been using them a while and they don't bung up with soil as easy as others

Never like the idea of bells, why tell the rabbits where the ferret is? Your dog will locate your ferret above ground if it wanders.

Same here more to catch on the nets when the ferrets come out if working in heavy cover a extra locator box set on full at each end will tell you if theres a ferret near it

Got the same bells on all my collars and never had a problem with them clogging up spot on when the stinkers in heavy cover and you can't see them

Quite odd that i bought some of these same bells a few months ago to try.I found them to be useless as when out i could not hear them.I found that the ferrets don`t shake about enough to make the bells audible.

I went for 12mm bells from Hobby house £1.50 for 10 £4 with postage. They are louder than the 6mm ones, I also found it hard to hear the small ones.
