Reckon the play safe option is to just blast a few mags through every couple of weeks (even into an old pillow or something) and not worry about the fill pressure (just keep it in the green) my two p

Checked it again today and it's still holding it's own so it must of just needed that little nip on the cylinder

Interesting topic.

So far, I have not set my guns to a given pressure for storage but as I now have a few more which may not get used through the winter, perhaps it needs some thought. Had this topic not come up, I would have left them at whatever pressure they were left at.

It is however unlikely, now that I think about it, that they will not be used even if only at the indoor range or outdoor range, depending on how cold it is so I doubt that any of them will just sit unused for the winter period.

I don't think it matters that much Phil,

My understanding is that they need a bit of pressure behind the seals during storage - not necessarily full pressure, just a bit.

I keep mine above 100bar and check them once a week to make sure there's no leaks.

Mine have always been ok like this

I've just checked it and it's down to 170bar but the cylinder screwed in a bit as it was a tad lose,is this the reason why or do I need to take the stock off to tighten it up.

That might have fettled it..check her again tomorrow.
