I was speaking to a man that's had lurchers for a long time and told me about b12 vitamins said that it helped his dogs performance anyone used it or know some one using it and if so how would you use it

I've given dogs b12 before after a hard night , always given it the day after in injectable form

I've used it if dog has had a hard night and is down in itself picks them back up a bit always had the injectable one

Vit B12 really is the Bees Knees WHEN a dog needs it such as recovering from sickness or when the bodies system needs recovering from pregnancy etc. etc. but if you think your dog needs it after a hard night or days work then IMO that's silly.

They use to sell b12 in pink powder form at polbeth whippet track (Livingston) ,,,me basically I wasn't into that shit although it wasn't illegal in racing,,iam a great believer in not putting stuff down a dogs throat I.e fancy tablets or drinks or powder,,,as u find they have kidney problems later on

The things I learnt as a simple kennel lad in 80s I wouldn't apply today,but had to then

 

Best feed best u can ,,,keep them fitt as u can and that's the best u can do...no fancy gimmicks

Bang on mate.If you are truly feeding your dog a good mixed balanced diet and giving it the correct amount of exercise and rest plus somewhere warm dry and clean to live it won't need any special powders or potions.

For what it costs,and the recommended amount you add to there food, I think for a growing pup your mad not to use it.
