walshie 2,804
Anyone from south of Watford is a cockney apparently.
Blackbriar 8,569
I'm not from 'Up North' as a lot of people say to me - I'm from the Midlands...(Nottingham specifically). I can distinguish a Nottingham accent from a Derby or a Leicester, but to the good lady BB (Bedfordshire), they all sound the same......
Mister Gain 1,764
When a bloke from work, who lived in Sevenoaks, went to the USA in the 70's 'they' told him he was a cockney.
mushroom 13,305
We are all pretty good at distinguishing and understanding our accents in Blighty. ive found that unless I all but remove my accent foreigners struggle to understand. Even the ones who speak very good English.
