Thanks I never knew that... A lot of the old time travellers I know use to call a pheasant a long tail but that was quite confusing as we called rats long tails so when one of them came in the pub saying he'd just had a lovely long tail for his tea we was like ewwwww lol

yeah we called them cooeys as well lol the old timers wouldn't rocka there name because they thought it was unlucky to say lol .

Just spoke to my cousin and he's learnt Romany fluent I'll ask him what a singing bird is . We've lost so much of our language
