Very good IMO with some lovely aerial shots of packs in full cry.

Lovely to see all the ol' boys gather with their hounds on bits of rope for a hare hunt.

And great to see a show about hounds and hunting with no mention antis or trying to justify hunting.

 

Irish Setters next week.

Fair dues to Loughnane to get up there unconcerned about anyone's opinion, when he was recovering from his canacer I heard him say in an interview that hunting was what he'd missed the most. When Hector went out hunting Loughnane was there to meet with him and represent as well.

No, but have seen plenty of drafts from them.

A lot of huntsmen don't like them as they can be headstrong.

 

The Scarteen must be good and fast as I know Paul Carberry likes to ride to them.

Next week is the Irish and the Glen of Imaal, don't hold your breath on it showing their traditional role, but ye never know.
