I was just thinking about this today - it feels like it's been ages since I carried a couple of good rabbits back to the car. I do miss that :(

The thing is, it's darker earlier, I'm knackered when I leave work and, I can't get on my favourite rabbit permission until 10pm.

Although I do bitch about it, I really don't mind the cold. In fact, I don't really notice it when I spot a rabbit and start a stalk.

f**k it, I'm going to sort it for Tuesday night

.....I haven't been to the rugby club for a few weeks and, now that that bloody super moon is on the wain, it could be a good night

Air rifle shootings what i prefer but i havent been shooting for weeks, when this time of year comes round i do my 2nd favourit sport which is ferreting, it can be as cold or windy as it wants it doesnt affect you like it does when shooting, do any of you other airgun lads go ferreting.

Out at every opportunity. The rabbits are putting some good chunk on and full of healthy fat.

Had a cracking night over the weekend. Fair old wind with sleet and snow. The rabbits we're sitting tighter than a Yorkshireman parting with cash.

Some easy pickings and a good bag.

Out as much as poss, not flying a hawk this year so its the gun, be it air rifle, shotgun, or rifle, oh and a spot of ferreting, duck shooting be it inland or on the foreshore is taking precedence at the moment, but I seem to have unlimited squirrels around this year so the air rifle is out a lot, foxing at night with the .243 just need to put a deer or two in the freezer now, oh how fuc*in work gets in the way.
