Bushing Foxes with beagle crosses-the end

The end of a good flush from the windbushes(after being shot of course), two more foxes were accounted for during the day. Bad weather put an end to our day. we were in scotland thats why theres three beagle crosses and terriers oh ...and my lab

They are VERY keen, are into there 4th season now and know the score, very fast in the cover , doesnt matter how thick or how big it is, they scream there little heads off, the guns have got to be sharp there're usually about 20yrds behind matey

sounds like you have alot of fun out bushing, at the same time providing a good service to keepers and farmers etc. in terms of size what would you compare your hounds to? the other thing im wondering is do they mark to ground and stay or are they more interested in moving on to find another, hope you dont mind me asking, keep up the good work cheers.

The dam was a black/white, spaniel/ beagle/jack russell and the sire was a pure pack beagle

They are about the size of a beagle or big terrier but are a fair bit faster than them they hunt with there heads up not stuck to the ground.They do mark to ground ,the smallest one at the bottom of the pic is the best marker but he can get down holes which can be a nuisance at times,they will stop there till i find them but usually that doesnt take long. They do give good mouth when theyve found matey,they dont go very far if a fox makes his escape very biddable not pig headed, any of our lads can stop them if they get out of the cover.
