Born Hunter 17,751
She was already dead and in all probability simply freezing her will totally f**k the cells meaning even with future tech she will not be able to be revived. Given the choice though, at least she has a possibility. I hope that thought comforted the poor girl.
DogFox123 1,379
The world is over populated as it is, I could understand if they wanted to bring an Einstein back to life but us mere mortals, what would be the point? It would only interfere with our evolution path.....

Tiercel 6,986
They must have conducted experiments with the cryo, even with lab mice or rats to see if it is possible to return them to life after being frozen even for a short period of time? Although I am just thinking aloud here, they can freeze eggs and sperm and they are still viable, so maybe just maybe it would be possible? I would not think that a body that has been ravaged by disease to the point that it died would stand much chance of being brought back though? Just thinking out loud. johnny boy68 11,726
Even if it's frozen would the brain still be viable without oxygen?

TC exactly, she didn't get put into a cryogenic sleep, she died on her own from a terrible disease, a head transplant would have been better
terryd 8,364
It made the poor girl feel better before she went so worth every penny from that point of view. But realistically how the hell will they ever safely defrost them as it were. Then next they have to be able to bring people back from the dead. No small ask to say the least. Next they have to fix what ever killed them in the first place. One chap has even got his head in a seperate freezer. He was being very hopeful indeed

TC It's not backed by any science mate. Simply freezing tissue destroys the cells. Freezing sperm etc follows a special procedure, water is removed from the cells for instance. We can't freeze organs and successfully regenerate them yet, bodies are a way off. The problem with it is not just in how to 'defrost' them but also how to freeze them so as not to damage the cells. kanny 20,420
A few minutes without oxygen your brain damaged all what makes her her is lost even if they managed to revive the body the soul has gone .....zombie apocalypse here we come lol ....all that aside if it bought the girl some comfort in her dying moment then it's ok Edited November 18, 2016 by kanny
