Any knowledge would be appreciated ie: installers, suppliers, etc in the Suffolk /Essex area. Cheers Steve.

trappa 518
Is it any good the air source heating? i went through the motions of trying to drop my monthly bills right down. Got solar panels installed to drop the leccy bills, got a wood burner installed to save on heating and a new boiler. Put my feelers out for a air source heat pump but didnt get great feedback with regard to them.
Rake aboot 4,935
Thermal solar panels are a far better bet. They use a glycol system to transfer heat to the hot water system. Mines has saved me a fortune already and it returns far greater savings that ground or air source.
trappa 518
nice one rake aboot, like to here stories of people saving money on bills. My roof already has the solar panels on so no room for thermal. I dont think my garden is big enough for ground source so it would be air or nothing. Ill probably not bother, Im not exactly flush at the moment and it would take a few years to rake back the outlay.
Squeamish5 309
There is a thingy you can get that diverts surplus energy from solar PVs to immersion heater (£120ish?). Handy if you don't have spare roof space or much extra money. We're (himself's) currently doing a very smart conversion. If you can't find any useful info from Google I may be able to get some details from him.
