Howa 1500 308 Ten Shot Magazine

Afternoon all, I've recently treated my howa to a ten shot mag conversion and I appear to be getting a slight problem with the bullets feeding from the magazine. It's as if the bullets are to long and catch in the mag and tilt with bullet head pointing down. I didn't get this problem before and was wondering if anyone else has come across this?

ive got a 223 with a conversion and got to say its not the best either ! i think it could be the same short action ,have you still got your bottom metal a floor plate ? not a solution but im thinking of converting mine back its that bad , does your mag clip in and hold ok? mine was a pig to fettle correctly

Yeah still got the bits but wouldn't mind getting it working properly. Mag clips in and holds fine, I'm thinking of seating the bullet heads in a bit further and going from there.

how does the mag length and the standard 308 length compare ? if/do you reload you may be able to get a load that still works ok at mag length
