Accip74 7,112
I suppose in that situation you could have a whip round for the jab.....You mean they didn't shoot it?... How insensitive!
ryaldinhio 4,739
I dont like seeing anyone when I walk my dogs never mind hundreds of people! Fork that. Bloke obviously a nutter anyway, 2 marriages and 3 engagements in 18 years? Ive had 1 wedding and wont be havin anymore if it ever ended. I think its sad that 100s of people will turn up for some muts last walk yet I bet they werent at mass yesterday to remember the thousands that died to save our country. A dog is a f****n dog. Respect them yes, mourn their loss if they are your own yes. Last walk for someone elses? No ta.
Maximus Ferret 2,063
I always thought whippets to be quite a long lived dog if looked after well. My last one was 18 when she went and her daughter (a lurcher) was 19. Well fair play to the man if it made him feel better but as said above, I'd rather be on my own or with only the vet 'til the dogs gone, and then on my own to dig the hole and shed a few tears remembering times gone. Don't think I've ever laid a dog in the ground without tears and I couldn't say that about all humans.

Maximus Ferret 2,063
Overly sentimental bollocks. I've been into hunting and dogs a lot of years now and I've buried a fair few. You're entitled to your opinion but IMO I can tell you that you can get a lot more from dogs if you actually LIKE them rather than just seeing them as a tool.
lanesra 3,994
Well better to have people thinking your an over sentimental rather than a cruel sod. 100% mate , a mate of mine , real nice lad though proper tough Fukcer if / when needed , had a terrier PTS and he shed a few tears he said to me "You proberbly think I'm a tit" . . "No the complete opposite , I'd of thought that if you put on the don't give a toss face" was my reply , nothing wrong having a special bond with your dogs Certanily doesn't make you less of a man . . And if someone has no feelings in the same circumstances then thats fine as long as there not just trying to look big & tough !!
