Aggressive Dogs

Recommended Posts

Is it me or are there more and more nasty dogs about nowadays? Every dog you seem to pass on a walk seem to have something against my youngest lurcher, I'm lucky enough to a variety of farms that I have permission on even luckier that some of the gold no footpaths, even then I came out of the farm drive because I had parked the van at the end of the drive, opposite is another farm that I also have/had permission on, he has two plattsy deerhound crosses, one of which came charging across the road and bit my young dog on the back leg it let go straight away once my boot connected with its chin, needless to say I no long have permission on his farm anymore, luckily it did no harm to my dog, has anyone else found this more common the last few years?

My thinking is, the more nervous and insecure a person is, the more nervous, insecure and aggressive the dog is. Nervous, insecure and aggressive, see it all the time in people and dogs, especially at

My Australian Cattle Dog lurchers were good old things,.but nearly all of them were Alpha types, both dogs and bitches... I believe that I am a fair trainer of working dogs,...but no way could I chan

And as for extending leads everyone whose got one seems to have a twat of a dog on the end of it.

Not workers but pet dogs ,I swear no one breeds for temperament anymore just money or cuteness.

Every poodle cross I seen as acted like a bloody collie my own included.

With these little fufu dogs, they only need to be bred for health and temperament.

And it does seem like the vast majority fail at that.

where i go there alot of dog walkers ,its common ground ,and its not to bad with the other dogs, most are just pet types , cockerpoos or little lap type and labs or cockers just as pet dogs , and there temps are ok.My 2 dogs are off the lead 95% time, both are biddable , friendly like people and other dogs .ive had only couple dogs dogs that were nasty ,thats staffs, and collies , and its been 3 dogs that gone for Buck . he never retaliates he just move away from them if they gone for him . it feckin strange really old Bryn will mix it a bit, he 9 now so getting a bit., yet Buck big strong bugger 4 year old , very full on quarry, as killed few feral cats last one was on his head, so dont mind bit of pain . but like as my wife as said to me lot of times , be very thankful he is soft with dogs , because he be to dangerous if he was nasty . i hate nasty dogs i had lurcher bitch once (kelpie x collie x grey ) she was right nasty fecker could never loose her of a lead , she have people and dogs she had a one way ticket , so i know what nasty dogs are like

Mine is a pain and quite a lot to do with when he was younger on a lead he had a westie coming fly out a gate and try latch on his arse. Same on a beach a collie ran up and bit him and ran off then down the woods once 3 husky types circling him. He was on a lead every time. My fault I should given them all the boot but its surprising how hard that is when your hands are full. Now on the lead his constantly on watch
