Best Place To Sell Fac Pcp

Recommended Posts

Hi

Looking for advice as best medium to advertise 2 fac airrifles (pcp)

One is a Kalibr Cricket WST .22 little used, Nearly new, just target shooting

Other is a Daystate Airwolf MTC .22 never hunted , 1000 shots target shooting, as new

Appreciate both would be face to face or via RFD.

Live in France but sending via RFD system no problem

Any thoughts?

Perfectly legal to advertise them through all the usual channels, on here, gun star etc etc, just got to make people aware in the ad that they are FAC.

Not sure how the French laws are, I know your allowed a higher power than the uk, but are they actually on a firearms licence, if not it may be prudent to turn them down to sub 12 for the uk market, non fac seem to be of a higher value here than FAC.

Just a bit of guess work here but if the guns were sold new in France, they would not be registered with UK firearms dept possibly so to have them reduced to sub 12 and sold into the UK might be okay. If I were you, I would email UK police firearms to establish the correct procedure, then you will have a response in written form to work from.

Yeah as I said, unsure if the guns at 15ftlb in France are classed as fac or not, if they are registered fac then a lot harder to do and possibly not worth it, I just wasn't sure that a 15ftlb gun is the same as our sub 12 here and it was just a case of dropping below 12 to sell here.

Thanks guys

I understand fac and french law.

Question though was good advertising areas. So gun star is one source any others. Assume I could advertise under your classifieds system or is that restricted as fac guns?

Apologies Rabid. I was having a mindf***k earlier. As far as I'm aware they are not registered as FAC in France. So they can be purchased and imported provided they are running at the legal uk limit.

Mike you can sell on here. However. As the guns are FAC they must only be sold to someone who has a relevant slot on their licence.

But......

If someone wanted to import them and reduce the power to the legal limit it would be at their own risk.

A suggestion would be that you removed certain springs to make them inoperable and transferred them via RFD for them to set at sub 12ft/lb

An obstacle I can see is trust. Your a little to far for most folk to travel for them to break your fingers if you screw them over.

No offence but being a relatively new member and the amount of scammers that have come and gone on here. Folk are going to be reluctant to buy from you.

Appreciate the time taken to reply.

I presumed an interested buyer could view them at an RFD ( of THEIR choice) . If not satisfied the deal is not concluded and the gun remains with the RFD. Gun could either be held there awaiting sale and/or forwarded at my expense for viewing etc. RFD from France to UK RFD by prior arrangement is totally legal. That way everyones interest is protected. Or is that all too complex for a keen buyer? Certainly knowingly I would not sell a Fac weapon to anyone except face to face or RFD with right documentation.

Too many PCP's and cannot use them all.

How does any gun get sold then? Would have thought face time/video/pics/web cam etc should prove efficacy.

Not your problem though but thanks anyway. Shame really because WST stocked rare Cricket for example is a fine gun.
