Puzzled 8
Anyone breeding a 1st x after x mass/next spring? Looking for a pup early next year...Based in southern Ireland and the dog we have is getting on in years now.If theres anything going you might keep us in mind thanks...we like the dog to multi task so a few different quarries will be pursued,,,not just a big rabbit dog Edited November 8, 2016 by Puzzled 1 Quote Link to post
curdog 17
Why not just get a pup from proven irish coursing bloodines? Quote Link to post
Puzzled 8
trying to find a 1st x,a rarity on this side of the pond...plenty of saluki bred pups but not 1st x Quote Link to post
curdog 17
I know myself but im just wondering why you want a 1st cross over a line bred saluki lurcher that is doing the business with a few generations.. still good few first crosses come with the bad greyhound feet 1 Quote Link to post
Puzzled 8
cause I have one all ready and shes been a brilliant dog, taken all kinds of everything consistently,,,and I have access to some well bred salukis saturated dogs but my preference is a 1st x.. Saluki246 1,053
Some odd good 1st x's off mike, however, its a gamble, as the first x in my experience either comes very good or bad, its pot luck, but when you get a good 1st x, their hard to beet as a good all rounder and pot filler.. ....Mike is a good start, over a good greyhound bitch. I know of Mike full saluki, not far from me, and Brookie did a good job breeding him. Quote Link to post
thefensarefarbutistillgo 2,482
Mike is the sire to Kim on chalky and the boys DVDs, Kim is a top top class bitch in my eyes, I wish mike was over here to breed off, I would put him to a well bred lurcher thow not a greyhound 3 Quote Link to post
DogFox123 1,379
It's finding one with good breeding that will be the hard part, and like folk said why would you want a first cross when you can get very good Saluki bred Lurchers? Quote Link to post

Why don't you put him over another first cross or a good lurcher, should make handy dogs. You got a pic? Quote Link to post
