Recommended Posts

Woke up to a light frost this morning so got the dogs out hoping to bag something but no such luck. They had a good hunt around but couldn't find anything...

So back home for a brew and some grub then nipped out with my hob to see if we could get a couple of bunnys for the pot.

Met up with tommy27 who took his whippets...

It amazes me how many lads won't touch the stuff mate. I love a nice rabbit stew or game pie. Missus and littleun can't get enough of it either.

Gaz. I reckon northern lite and lurcherman can't eat it cause they haven't a clue how to cook it.lol. I can just hear the old,' smelly hairy feathery things. You caught them you cook them. Haha. Any rate on, I love the stuff, and, as you know so does the lovely one. I'll always something for you when you come down mate. Speaking of which, fancy a Sunday stroll among our many green acres??Jok.

soak them in a jar of curry sauce then a hour in the oven in a casserole dish rabbits a bland meat will take the taste from korma to vindalo

I've never understood the "rabbit is a bland meat" thing mate. Hear it a lot on here. I don't think it's any more bland than chicken or pork. It's all about what you do with it.

For some reason people just boil it or roast it without doing anything to it.

If you boil a pork joint or a few chicken legs in a pan of water it would be pretty bland too.

I've had rabbit curry a couple of times, I like hare curry too using the saddles.

This will be rabbit and sausage casserole tomorrow with honey and pork sausages and a bottle of cider in the mix.

No mate. Not yet. Gaz has been hammering them with the rifle but we've that much ground to go on he's not denting them. I'll have a word when I get back from Scotland about getting you down here. Will you bring little 'un and would you want to stay Sat night.? Jok.
