Tiercel 6,986
After the moggi thou van, I had an Anglia estate, it did not have a steering rack just a steering box which was well worn, it was the post above that reminded me of it. You used to turn the wheels full lock from side to side just to keep it in a straight line in the end, going around corners was pretty precarious to say the least. Funnily enough most of my cars were death traps back then. TC Quote Link to post

gamerooster 1,179
Not as vintage as some fellas on here but mine was suzuki vitara sport with a soft top, only a 1.6 but it'd go anywhere, remember me and my mate was pulled up at a set of traffic lights with the dogs in the back, a cat walked past and the dogs simply jumped though the window that already had a rip in it, but we had some cracking nights in it and put a good amount of game away Quote Link to post
Waz 4,252
I remember a mate had a Sherpa van with sliding doors along with ex Telecom Bedford ha vans Was reading the paper online earlier and about some poor girl from Coventry and they are investigationg around Coombe Abbey. Well this thread entered my head as it was one of the first places I ever seen a dog behind a rabbit, used to visit my grandad as kids and us kids and the whippets piled into his bedford van as in the pic above, hand painted his were as he was a painter and decorator, might have been ex GPO or gas van? , me and my brother sat on paint tins till the first corner where then youd hear the unmistakble sound and feel of a kids head hitting the side of the van LOL & for a few hours we'd be great white hunters around Coombe Abbey & other places in the vicinity. Can remember seeing them whippets like it was only a year or so ago instead of 40! Edited November 8, 2016 by Columbo 1 Quote Link to post
