eddie3 9
Has anyone had problems feeding dogs with sweet corn, spoke to a lad today, his spaniel had a blockage caused by a single piece of corn , is this common or just bad luck?
socks 32,253
There's no point feeding it as dogs can't digest it ......

jok 3,325
Why feed a dog on corn is what I mean. Then put up on here wondering why he had problems?? Fair enough if your dog picks up food and has a problem. Jok.
gnipper 6,546
I've heard of the cob blocking dogs up but never the corn itself.

sandymere 8,263
As Gnipper said the cobs cause a blockage, can be very dangerous. The kibble can't be digested by man or dog unless the skin has been broken as its made of cellulose, if the skin is broken then both man and dog can digest it fine.

As regards the kibble i wondered why as regards the toilet out come "so to speak" so in the future i will slightly mash up the kibble for both me and the dog
