si brown 8,486
took the hw95 out round the farm today and was well impressed with how she performed took the standard ferrel before the car was unpacked and that put me in good stead for the rest of the session, bit of confidence goes a long way! i dropped a few more ferrels and crows between 20 and 50yrds.... i don't bother picking these up unless they are on the roads so no photos ! then i decided to check out the rabbit situation, theres mixy on this perm but not everywhere took this one prone at 57yrd and it just dropped then a couple of kicks..perfectly healthy no mixy when i went to retrieve it i saw a few more on a nother hedge line so i stalked in on them, thought i was pushing it when i got to 30ish yard so i got prone and could instantly see they had mixy... to say there about blind they defiantly knew i was there from a fair distance!! took this one at about 35yrd then a couple more but there in the hedge back! what a bloody awful sight:( but to say theres so many warrens there arnt many rabbits about, think this could be why! nearly every hole has a heap of fox sh!t full of fur next to it seems the foxes are just sat at the front door waiting for dinner by the look of the soil disturbance! lol atb si 6 Quote Link to post

rick12345 181
Rabbits are very scarce, around here too. Was at a local permission, yesterday, nothing to be seen. I went back last night with my lamp, just to make sure. A little flash about, from the truck window revealed quite a few. Still think this rhvd2 has accounted for a good few. Apparently they just die underground, you don't see them on top like Mixy. Quote Link to post
