DogFox123 1,379
There is no answer to that question Everybody has their own tastes when it comes to a dram....one mans meat is another mans poison...whisky is a bit of a hobby of mine and I collect and invest in the stuff ...for an everyday dram the standard 10 yr Glenmorangie ....,,,,,if I had £50 and I was to buy a bottle it would be between Balvennie double wood or Morangie Lasanta but that's just me Got to be the worst drink for the liver though surely? MIK 4,763
Islays are of good peaty flavour, Lagavulin being the best . Though Edrador is nectar of the gods. Have a small collection of single malts ..19 .. Always taken neat. No rules it's taken the way you like it

The more I drink the more it's growing on me. Edited November 5, 2016 by DogFox123

I've never been a whiskey drinker but now I'm getting used to it so it's becoming bearable. It's all in the mind with strong spirits imo.

morton 5,368
What's the best bottle of Scottish whiskey in your opinion for about 50 quid or under Grouse, relatively cheap and as honest a Scotch as many a more famous tipple.3 Monkeys,i don,t know the stable it comes from but smooth. lukey 1,621
Don't like the stuff at all. Work on most of the distillerys about Scotland, last year worked on a new Diageo's one in Glenrothes, was chatting to the guy who owned it and he asked did I like it, when I said no he said to me "it's not that you don't like it, you just haven't found the one you like yet". Made me very curious and I've tryed a few since then but I just think it all tastes vile!

As for whisky I wouldn't thank you for the stuff. I've only ever enjoyed one bottle and it was some honey infused stuff. Can't call that proper whisky though.
lukey 1,621
Trace heating and insulation mate. Done loads of work for Diageo. Was in Leven for a couple of years doing the new bottling hall.
