shropshire dan 467
Hi all just about to receive a new HW80 K in .177 calibre. It's been fitted with a Welsh willy tune kit. What can I expect from an air rifle like this? I've never owned a Weihrauch of any sort. I've previously owned a few Tx 200 air rifles and liked them. just fancied a change and gone for a break barrel. Kind regards Dan 1 Quote Link to post

Rez 4,961
As above. Let us know... Not really a big fan of 177 HW's, just me, and hearing more about an eighty in 177 will be sweet to know. I'm still surprised that the HW80 is available in 177... For obvious reasons. Keep us informed. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thanks Lads. I was planning on trying it out and if necessary put it onto my ticket as an FAC air rifle but not sure yet. I'VE heard they run a lot nicer at FAC power levels Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
Fair enough. It's not been run in yet obviously as it's new so hoping to get it run in and then on the Chronograph Quote Link to post
charlie caller 3,654
I will be interested to see how you get on with it Dan, you are correct the was never really designed for the 12ftlb limit, and they do run superbly at fac levels, but the WW kit should go some way to addressing the vibration and recoil, maybe some additional polishing and a TBT short stroke kit if you find it too much mate. shropshire dan 467
Thanks CC. I think I'll see how it is after running it in with 300 pellets or more than then if I don't like the way she shoots possibly put it on my fac and have her professionally tuned upto around 18 ftlb. Thanks again Quote Link to post
mhopton 807
I've just won yes won a hw80k in ,177 but its a earlier model. Since I was little lad at 12 and wanted a proper hunting gun ,there was only so much you could do with a ASI sniper lol my 13th b'day got a my first HW it was an hw80 .22 with the square for stock and tbo there probably isn't a better springer make air rifle ever, don't know what or why but over the year's having owned different makes nothing has ever came close to hw variety and for pellet choice .177 or .22 it has to be RWS superdome Ps I won it on a bonus ball card £10 a number from a lad off here lucky fuc##r or what Quote Link to post
tatsblisters 10,076
Would these pellets described on this thread be also the best for an in .22 as i seem to be getting a few flyers useing Bisley magnums. Quote Link to post
PeskyWabbits 464
I have always stuck with Superdomes or Superfields (if others out of stock) on my Hw35. I expect the reifling will be the same. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Cheers lads. I've got some super domes lying round here somewhere Quote Link to post
