I didn't fancy faffing about with bolt ons, especially creeping about woods & field at night.
shropshire dan 467
I have a S&B 8x56 and it's crap with the nite site add on. anything from MTC and Hawke give good results. the best results being from a MTC Viper IRS.
Baldcoot 2,352
Thanks Dan i sort of thought this as a fixed focus has no parallax and some have said on another forum they couldnt get good focus with it .Damn il have to buy another scope oh dear how sad never mind
shropshire dan 467
It's not so much the focus as my hawke eclipse without focus works works great out to 200 yards it's more the coatings on the lens. BETTER quality scopes have better quality coatings so don't allow the night vision to transmit a clear image

toxo 160
I have a S&B 8x56 and trying to decide wether to keep it to go on a future day rifle or sell it. Doesn't work with my Archer gen 3.
Baldcoot 2,352
Yeh theyre bosting good at first last light but dont like N.V at all .Find something on the N.V forum that Ward himself posted hi gear doesnt work with it at all well. And 1 of the solo builder,s says the same .As it wont focus properly i,d keep it as a day scope ,mines on Warne Q/R mounts so i could swap n chop as required FAF but im not too worried atb
shropshire dan 467
I've got a absolutely mint Hawke varmint side focus that gives a lovely crisp image with my Nitesite. As new only 3 weeks old. It was mounted on a new air rifle I just got. £100 posted
