ryaldinhio 4,775
You know foreign investment has gone to far when the current league champions start with a photo of the dead king of thailand and a minute silence.

pesky1972 5,350
I believe that there'll be worse to come. Top flight English football sold its soul to the devil years ago, and there's no way back now.

Astanley 11,580
If the American president died those clubs owned by Americans would probably do something similar and I doubt anyone would even comment on it ,we've just got to accept the premier league is attracting investment globally . I can see a day when some of England's oldest clubs are run into the grubber by ego driven owners that'll burden them with debt that'll leave them no way out..., and the poor loyal punters will be powerless to do anything about it. People who make decisions in huge long term business dont open the front door without making sure the back doors shut first......how long have folk been saying English football has a limited shelf life ?...... times have never been better for the " poor loyal punters " ,huge gates, great amenities, more footie on telly than ever.....i remember watching that Serie A on telly in the ,s thinking this is shit.....now Italians watch Epl......and as for clubs, theres too many professional clubs in existence anyway in my opinion.....i remember my ol fella taking me down to Walthamstow Avenue on a Saturday morning before going down the Hammers in the afternoon.....The Avenue were an amateur side who filled their ground out every single week how many amateur clubs get more than 50 punters through the door these days ?......let the strongest survive thats how sport and business should work, those not strong enough to survive can go back to being the small community amateur clubs in the small community leagues of old people shouldnt be able to earn a pound note off of low level sport.
