johnrussell84 2,831
I like them personally but I don't think dogs do . . . after using them since the first weeks they came on the scene I'm starting to go off them. Too often at distance I think the dogs struggle to keep with there quarry. I don't think they are seeing the same light I am, in certain light conditions its as if I'm running with a filter on. Something not right somewhere . . . what do you guy think? Second that mate ran a couple a things last night that am sure another lamp would have been a different outcome other end off the field An they struggled. Gonae try trade for a lithium and striker set up 2 Quote Link to post
C.green 3,229
Them led lamps are good whenever anybody first tries them there over the moon they sell the lithiums n halogen lamps. Then after a season or 2 they go back out with a halogen lamp and soon find they've been struggling with the LEDs. This is what happened to me n a few others LEDs burn out after a while they struggle to pick things up on plough or stubbles. There good for hopping a fence when there new but they don't last long. Only thing I will say is those batteries in these handhelds are awesome. 5 Quote Link to post
Fieldsporthunter 1,864
I bought new led lamp end of last year, fourtrack73 for one reason or other needed lamp so I borrowed him it, then gave him it and got me another. Any way already the difference in brightness between the two lamps is shocking. Quote Link to post
bullmastiff 615
If you like the plr500 then you'll love the saber. Same led but you can focus it and a 50mm head not a 150mm head. Quote Link to post
king 11,972
Ive got an led.the white colour is just to white. I used the washing up sponge green side. and spent a few mins scrubbing the lens to haze it a bit it does seem to have taken the whiteness off it a bit. Quote Link to post
mhopton 807
Plr and the deben 150 do look the same but are different plr has a much better Wight beam tracer is by no means poor just they are no better than a buffalo river lamp I've never had any problem spotting rabbits with it ether and my dog don't seem to mind the light they give off and no problem at distance best thing is you get a car charger red filter along with the home charger included in the price Quote Link to post
