I know theres been many threads....

 

At the moment i have a stryker 170 and old skool clulite battery, considering selling and buying a plr500... Moneys tight at the moment so id really need to sell, though a spare would be handy.

 

The plr500 has been about for a while now and no doubt a few of you have used both lamps, i quite like the idea not carrying the battery about, is the plr500 a good replacement, do just as good job?

Mate you will have all sorts of answers on here,some love them some hate them I have housed the same lamp for rabbits for two seasons with no probs at all.if you need one pm me I'm cheeper than any one ells £45

Tracer 150 seems to be a handy choice aswell buddy

Plr 500 .tracer 150 is the same lamp lads its jest branding

Plr and tracer are exactly the same lamp except the price. The tracer is £30 dearer.

Tracer 150 seems to be a handy choice aswell buddy

And the bulb does not burn out/go a brown colour before its been used for lamping.

My second season with the PLR500 and really happy with it.Well worth the money.Good quality beam and only 400g in weight.Can`t go wrong with it.

The PLR500 wasn't for me, I bought one after reading a lot of positive comments on

here but just didn't like it at all. Sure it's light to carry about, no battery

over the shoulder either but I just couldn't take to the tightness of the beam, also

found spotting eyes a lot harder. If possible Joe try and get out with one before you

buy and make your own mind up.

I like them personally but I don't think dogs do . . . after using them since the first weeks they came on the scene I'm starting to go off them. Too often at distance I think the dogs struggle to keep with there quarry. I don't think they are seeing the same light I am, in certain light conditions its as if I'm running with a filter on.

Something not right somewhere . . . what do you guy think?

My second season with plr 500 my blitz & tracer not left my shed since i got plr. No cables or battery packs. Its a great piece of kit ? Atb

It's a nice bit of kit, really light and easy to carry around.... but with the beam being a white'ish light the rabbits seem to blend in on ploughed typed fields... anyone else notice this or is it just me lol....
