iv'e got Hanwag special forces gtx had them 4or 5 years totally waterproof   probably out live me to be honest  not the lightest of boot but give lots of support

Not seen these before mate even though I like an high boot I was going to give one of the low boots a try.

Never had lowa boots tbh mate and tbh I like the hanwags due to them doing a wide fitting that suits my feet better.

Ended up getting a pair of these not a bad boot though not as comfortable as the higher tatra GTX and a bit heavy for a smaller boot.

Had some Crispi delivered a few days ago,it's getting down to -17 this weekend so shall wear them then.

A lot of people are know are getting them now and all have said how good they are, I got these before the start of the shooting season and they have been spot on, got them for just over 200 quid delivered from France

Even though i am happy with my Hanwag boots I think i will give the Lowas a go next time. Do you wax them mate or use any other leather protection on them.

Altbergs for me cheap graded surplus, I wear them 7 days a week in all conditions occasionally getting a rub over with gris or grit , might wear desert wellies if I'm out somewhere posh lol.

Been using the hanwag wax on mine and they have had some hammer though recently noticed a small gap were the rand is though they are still totally waterproof though if it gets any wider i will probably get in touch with hanwag

Just bought some obenauf's tats,it's supposed to be good for leather in extreme cold.
