mark williams 7,561
Psilocybe Semilanceata - Liberty Cap,-- Magic mushroom According to my brand new, shiney, " identifying mushrooms" handbook that I`ve just won on the " wild food foragers" forum . The mushroom in the photo could be Psilocybe cyanescense (lacks a pointed cap) - and the other option is P. fimetaria - grows on dung. All very similar and all toxic / poisonous atb D. Jonjon79 13,358
I tried them a long time ago. I had a mate that used to go camping in Wales. He'd spend a week in the wilderness somewhere picking and eating those things. He made me a cupasoup with them one day - I was out of action for around 8hrs afterwards and, I felt all philosophical for a couple of days after. I'm glad I had the experience but, not something I'd do again. 1 Quote Link to post
