The Seeker 3,048
To me it's simple, any bloke footballer or not who needs to prey on a woman when she's pissed to get his end away is a complete and utter wa**ker. The fact he needed to clear his name from being a convicted rapist is a none event to me, the guy is a c**t for doing what he did and for abusing the trust of his girlfriend.

Are you for real? No man unfairly deserves the stigma attached with cases like that!

walshie 2,804
Seems odd that the "evidence" that acquitted him only came about after the £50,000 reward was offered. I'm sure a lot of people would lie for that kind of dough. (Not saying that's what happened though, obviously.) It just shows money can't buy you class.

Not everyone has morals instilled in them though mate some of us have to learn them as we go so what we felt was acceptable at 22 we later realise isnt acceptable i dont see too much wrong in that type of behavioural growth......." rape " well obviously no everybody knows that's wrong but again its whether you call a drunken girl whoring herself at the feet of wealthy virile young men rape. scothunter 12,609
Dont know what happened and neither was anyone else commenting.. All i can say is there is far to much of these rape claims getting thrown around. Seems to be after all these cases from the 70s and 80s that its fashionable to be a victim. That might sound a bit out of order. And im not saying these allegations weren't true. However i think the cops and courts are more prone to believe any allegation of that sort cz they f****d up in the past and the spolight was on them. been a few people who have had there lifes and famlies ruined by malicious lies. Few topped themselfs aswell and later it was found to be a wrongfull allegation. The justice system seems to favour the alledged victim over the accused from day one. Its been a long time since we honoured the innocent till proven guilty rule. If ever we did honour it. Even when an accused person is found not guilty there lots have this "ah no smoke without fire" mentality! And thats just wrong and very unfair.

He was only acquitted at retrial because his defence was based on trashing the young girl's reputation, not because evidence proved that he hadn't done it. Isn't that also unfair ?
