sandymere 8,263
She’s a Galgo Espanol which means Chid and Wild Bill were spot on and a couple where right on the type in that she’s coursing bred, Bunny’s and Low plains, although not breed. She’s done a little Tomo and she is certainly different from what I’m used to, to compare her to the other would be to compare a wasp and a butterfly, both get there but in very different ways. I’ve yet to really see her flat out for any length of time but so far she’s hardly put her tongue out, the other dog on the same was panting like a goodun. Little more fitness before she really gets a stretch, perhaps another week or so, she lost a lot of weight on the trip over from Spain, 5 days, in which she hardly ate or drank. So far she’s keen and seems to turn nicely for her size along with having the type of feet many would dream of to run on tough ground so there is definite potential but only time will tell, she has around a 1000 years of breeding to course behind her so I will see what the winter brings. Nearest comparison would be to 20 years ago I had coursing/Saluki hybrids and she has a movement similar to them. The Brindle is ¾ whippet x 1/8 grey and 1/8 collie C Green, 23” of whizz banger, these two are chalk and cheese but horses for courses. 5 Quote Link to post
