Plus you know it's not for everyone, getting stopped by the old bill all the time, being called a skip rat and told to f**k off on a regular basis, everyone that knows me well, know how I make a living but it's to much effort for most of them, and these days everyone is a mobile phone video grass as well, I get filmed almost weekly by some goody goody with to much time on there hands and usually I,m doing nothing wrong, they just don't like the look of me or my old truck, that's the down sidesc**ts mate stick ya two fingers up at them filming you probally toffs thinking there above you it just goes with the turf mate when people see a flat cap and a 20 year old transit tipper they just assume the worse, I,m a bit old to be rolling on the floor with everyone that shouts at me, I think it sort of hurts people thinking your making money from things they can't be bothered to sell themselves, I love it and as people get more and more wasteful it just gets easier, like yourself I have a few other ways of making a living it's just one part of our life cheers Hit the nail there I've seen people throwing nearly new sofas in to skips but slashing them with a knife just so people can't take it away it's stupid and you won't ever change some people sadly I was watching old police camera program on YouTube last night, and they was. Watching old fella with an transit going round taking stuff from the rubbish points from flats etc, they actually made him put back a really knackered cat scratcher .hope they did,nt show my face

This is also in a very tidy postcode mate, not a million miles from weybridge,an affluent area,as soon as you go in the tip, which they call a recycling centre theres a cage filled with flat screen PC screens and TV's,the couple pay the council to site their containers there and fossick through the stuff,i know a guy whose missus threw £2200 away into the bin in a carrier bag once so i know some people who work in recycling centres must come up trumps on occassion. Caravan Monster 323
Chimney sweeping, realistic start up budget £2.5k excluding vehicle. Be prepared to put a lot of work into advertising, do not skimp on equipment, especially ppe and don't mess around customers. Spend the bulk of the equipment and training (yes, really) budget with https://rodtech.co.uk/training-c-82.html and don't waste money on membership of any of the associations. Expect to spend the first year earning back the set up costs and building the foundations of the business. If he doesn't mind heights, ladders can bring work tv aerials, chimney cowls, broken / slipped tiles, gutter clean / repair. People generally accept paying good money for these type of jobs.
