Malt 379
I can't see how that can work ... if he has put the car in gear and started it and that wheel is turning why doesn't the other remaining drive wheel push the car off the jack ...... Not just that, what happens when you start a car that's in gear without using the clutch? It jumps and dies, it does not speed off down the roadDose it ? I rember driving a few cars home once clutch has gone that very wayI had a car like that VW golf twice the clutch cable snapped......turn engine off put it in gear and turn the ignition and it jump starts I remember changing up was easier than changing down without a clutch I've also driven a few cars with snapped clutch cables over the years using that method.. TC I know how it works as well Al, done a bodywork course that included a few mechanics modules back in the late 90s. I couldn't even begin to try explaining it though!
