General lee 979
I never realised a racoon was such a strong animal I always thought they were about the size of a domestic cat and just as frail Quote Link to post
Shoebootie 188
I work coons on a regular basis and in my opinion they are a very good animal , it does depend on age , size and time of the year. Coons will hibernate during the winter and when they come out of hibernation they are on the weak side but bounce back quickly. During hibernation they are very aggressive and strong. You'll hear stories from the groundhog guys that they are better , when in reality a failed coon dog has made the grade for hogs time and time again. Not all but most of our coons are very big in comparison to a lot of states , it's normal for us to get coons 25 pounds + and them ones are very durable and difficult to handle. Quote Link to post

rob284 1,682
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it hard to find an American brock to ground as they wonder on top in the day. They dig a new spot every night don't they? Only what I've read. 1 Quote Link to post
