I work coons on a regular basis and in my opinion they are a very good animal , it does depend on age , size and time of the year. Coons will hibernate during the winter and when they come out of hibernation they are on the weak side but bounce back quickly. During hibernation they are very aggressive and strong. You'll hear stories from the groundhog guys that they are better , when in reality a failed coon dog has made the grade for hogs time and time again. Not all but most of our coons are very big in comparison to a lot of states , it's normal for us to get coons 25 pounds + and them ones are very durable and difficult to handle.

Mr.lonespade, what sparring parnters would I expect my Terriers to find in that location? what would be the best style terrier and weight of terrierto bring to handle that opponent ?

American brock lol be good test for a terrier by sounds of it if its what he saying it is richlee a terrier that will use his head is what ya need

American brock is badger, I only know one person that catches them and he won't have a small, light terrier

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it hard to find an American brock to ground as they wonder on top in the day. They dig a new spot every night don't they? Only what I've read.
