Fat-Ferret 857
Mushroom is correct, there a lot cheaper in Spain, I was in spain last year and bought a shooting hunting type magazine (to look at the pictures)!! But the classifieds were packed with teckels from supposed working breeding. The most pricey I saw was 250 I think. However, as Alectoris will tell you, they are very common in Spain and you need to go to the right person. I suppose it could be like a spainard coming here for a terrier, you could get a genuine bred dog or money man telling fibs!! 1 Quote Link to post
HPR 1,161
In Germany I think you will find it hard to get one all papered up for Les than 1200 euro . In Serbia get one a bit cheaper but then you have to be careful because it cost my mate twice as much because passport was dodgy and couldn't get the dog back . Quote Link to post
mushroom 13,186
My German mate has then cheaper ???? Not sure bout papers though Quote Link to post

bird 9,966
What teckels like for ferreting?? atb cbx if you want just a marking type dog , a teckel , jack etc will do. but being honest a lurcher will do the same job , and catch any bolters you may get , for ferreting i would only use a lurcher , then you got everything covered Quote Link to post

Allan P 1,150
often thought a Teckel or terrier would be good for ferreting hedgerows, the ones where rabbits run along them and it's difficult to get a stop through the hedge. Maybe they would push the rabbit out into the long net that set either side of the hedge. Quote Link to post
