mark williams 7,561
Hi lads, thank you for all the advice,- very helpful. No, no, no ox spring I`m waiting to speak to the gunsmith before I order the parts. The FWB Sport is a gunsmith job, ( spring compressor required), not only that you wanna see me with a screwdriver and an IKEA cupboard . I notice Chambers FWB Sport service kit, standard spring, breech seal, piston seal, lube & grease will fulfil the job and she would still be a classic without a Ferrari spring in her. atb, Mark. mark williams 7,561
Hi mark I'm in same boat as you and after a spring for an old classic too. 10 mins ago I messaged sandwell fieldsports asking after one of their springs and got a reply allready. Maybe worth looking at one of those too? I bet a strip, clean and real good polish then fitting with tbt spring guides with one of their springs would be superb. Aye up Tom. I thought stuff it, I`ll ring `em,- Sandwell Field Sports as you suggest Tony Wall`s day off today but they did suggest to send the Sport to them for tuning as a lot of the work required is covered by the tuning cost ( 2 birds, one stone). The stumbling block ? - An 18 week queue but I am very tempted to send her as I have three other rifles atb Mark 1 Quote Link to post
