fishfish 17
According to a DEFRA spokesperson today,it was anounced that the cost of the forth comming cull of badgers would would not be met by the tax payer but uniqely funded in partnership with the british meat baord. Farmers will be paid an undisclosed sum to keep badger carcases in refridgeration until pick-ups can be made, the badgers will then be sent to processing plants where the meat will be striped ,and the offal taken .According to the spokesperson the offal will be sold for animal feeds to be sold to an,at this time un named animal charity. The meat having been passed as fit for human consumption will be made into sausages for sale through all major outlets. The sausages will be available under the 'badger banger' brand set up especially for this uniqe partnership.Available in three exciting recipes, badger and pork, badger and herb and the country favorite badger and ale. Tesco and other major food retailers have allready placed advanced orders for the new 'badger banger'.Micheal simpson, meat buyer for tesco when asked about this new line said " these are exciting times in the retail food industry,we are looking forward to suporting the farming comunity after all this is your tesco's" The RSPCA declined to be interviewed and isued a statement..." The RSPCA realise that some action has to be taken with regards to the TB epidemic within the bovine farming industry..........we do however fear that farmers will infact farm badgers ....."
